An orthopedic mattress (or orthopedic mattress ) is a mattress designed to support the joint, back and body as a whole. As the name suggests, orthopedic mattresses have been influenced by orthopedic medical studies that focus on spinal and joint disorders or disorders. Orthopedic mattresses have been created to overcome problems that may be experienced with poor backs or joints by providing hard mattresses that offer targeted and customized support.

History and rules
With innovations and medical discoveries about bone and joint function in the 1950s, many mattress manufacturers are trying to improve their products and give them an edge over their competitors. However, since there is no official government or official appointment that will qualify one mattress to become orthopedic over others in most countries, and all modern mattresses support the back and joint to a lower or greater degree, the modern use of the term "orthopedic "has largely been a marketing term. Mattress manufacturers, in all countries, are not required by law to provide test evidence to support orthopedic mattress claims.
