Summit
10,600 acres from a locally known property as Garden Ground donated by Bechtel Foundation to Boy Scouts of America for development to The Summit: Bechtel Family National Scout Reserve, a high adventure base and site for Scout national jamboree.

City's racial makeup is 77.0% White, 18.0% African American, 0.5% Native Americans, 0.4% Asian, 0.4% of other races, and 3.7% of two or more races. Hispanic or Latin from any race is 1.6% of the population.
There are 626 households where 30.0% have children under 18 living with them, 34.7% are couples living together, 16.8% have non-husbands female households, 6.4% have male households men without a wife, and 42.2% not family. 37.1% of all households are made up of individuals and 12% have someone living alone 65 or older. The average household size was 2.26 and the average family size was 2.95.
The average age in the city is 37.5 years. 24.8% of the population is under 18 years of age; 9.1% were between 18 and 24; 25.4% are 25 to 44; 26.1% are from 45 to 64; and 14.6% are 65 years old or older. City gender makeup is 47.6% male and 52.4% female.
