Andrew C. Hecht, M.D. , is an American orthopedic surgeon and a nationally recognized leader in spinal surgery.
Hecht functions as a spine surgical consultant for New York Jets, New York Islanders and New York Dragons, as well as college teams at Hofstra University and Molloy College, and is the Head of Spine Surgery for Mount Sinai Health System and Head of Spinal Surgery at The Mount Sinai Hospital, Director of Mount Sinai Spine Center of Mount Sinai Doctors, Faculty Practice and Associate Professor of Orthopedic Surgery and Neurologic Surgery at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, both in New York City.

Biography
Hecht was born in New York City in 1967. He graduated magna cum laude from Brown University in 1989 and obtained his MD degree with the title of magna cum laude at Harvard Medical School in 1994. His postdoctoral training includes an internship in general surgery at Deaconess Hospital New England and the Harvard Joint Orthopedic Surgery Surgery Program at Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham and Women's Hospital and Beth Israel Deaconess Health Center, which he completed in 1991. He then completed an alliance at the Emory University Spine Center.
