The Tennessee Student Assistance Corporation (TSAC) was established by the Tennessee General Assembly in 1974 as a non-profit corporation with the incorporation of Tennessee Educational Loan Corporation and Tennessee Tuition Grant Program.
Tennessee Student Assistance Corporation is Tennessee's designated federal guarantees agency responsible for administration of secondary education loan programs authorized by Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965, and subsequently authorized by Tennessee Code Annotated Section 49-4-404.
