International Football Federation History & amp; Statistics (IFFHS) is an organization that tells the history and records of football associations. Founded on March 27, 1984 in Leipzig by Dr. Alfredo PÃÆ'¶ge with the blessing of FIFA's general secretary at the time, Dr. Helmut KÃÆ'¤ser. IFFHS was based in Al-Muroor Street 147, Abu Dhabi for some time but, in 2010, moved to Bonn, Germany.
During the initial phase, and until 2002, IFFHS concentrated on publishing quarterly magazines of FuÃÆ'Ÿball-Weltzeitschrift Libero spezial deutsch and Libero international . When this should be stopped for reasons not officially told, the organization publishes material in a series of multi-lingual books in collaboration with sponsors. The statistical organization now limits its publishing activity to its website, receives support from FIFA, the organization that recognizes IFFHS and its work even though the latter has no affiliation with the football governing body.

Since 1991, the entity has generated a monthly Ranking Club World.
The rankings consider the results of twelve months of continental and intercontinental competitions, national league games (including play-offs) and the most important national trophies (not counting points won before round 16).
All countries are ranked four levels based on the performance of the national league - the clubs in the highest-level league receive 4 points for every game won, 2 for a draw and 0 for defeat. Level 2 is 3 points. (win), 1.5 (series) and 0 (lose), and so on with the next lower level.
In continental competitions, all clubs receive the same number of points at all stages regardless of their league performance level. However, UEFA Champions League and Copa Libertadores produce more points than UEFA Europa League and Copa Sudamericana, respectively. The point assignment system is still lower for continental tournament AFC, CAF, CONCACAF and OFC. Competition between two continents is evaluated depending on its importance. Competitions not held by continental confederations, or intercontinental events not recognized by FIFA, are not considered.

World Decade Club Team
In 2012, IFFHS recognized Barcelona as the World's Best Club Decade for the first decade of the 21st century (2001-2010).

20th Century Continental Club
In 2009, IFFHS released the results of a statistical study that determined the best continental clubs in the 20th century. Ratings do not take into account team performance at national soccer tournaments (except in Oceania club ratings due to limited editions held under the club competition OFC), performance in intercontinental competitions or clubs worldwide or submitted in IFFHS Club World Rankings, available since 1991.
Based on this series of statistical studies, the following six clubs are named as "this continental club of the century" by IFFHS between September 10 and October 13, 2009. The clubs are awarded gold trophies and certificates during the celebrated World Football Gala celebrated at Fulham, London, on May 11, 2010.

Best PlayMaker World IFFHS
The World's Best Playmaker IFFHS is a football award which, since 2006, is awarded annually to the best playmaker of the year, as chosen by the International Football Federation History & amp; Statistics (IFFHS).
This award is given every January in World Football Gala : the winner of the playmaker was awarded the golden cup. Xavi Spain has won the record four times in a row, compatriot AndrÃÆ' Â © s Iniesta twice and Argentine player Lionel Messi has won the award in the last three years. Barcelona is the club with the most wins, totaling nine.

From 1991 to 2009, FIFA continued this distinction named "FIFA World Player of the Year"; the award was subsequently replaced by the FIFA Ballon d'Or in 2010, and the FIFA Men's Player of the Year in 2016.

The IFFHS rewards the votes cast by the participation of journalists and former players (no further details are given).
Criticism
Karl Lennartz, a sports historian and professor at the University of Cologne, Germany, called the organization "unclear", describing it as a one-on-one show of its founder, Alfredo PÃÆ'¶ge.
The IFFHS rating and its significance have been a matter of criticism and Germany's largest news agency, Deutsche Presse-Agentur, refused to publish. Furthermore, it has been stated that the rank of IFFHS is not official and the title they bear is only for publicity.
