The wishes of Bridges Adams Lehmann (December 16, 1855 - October 10, 1916) was the first female female physician and gynecologist in Munich, Germany.
She is the daughter of a British journalist and railroad engineer William Bridges Adams. He studied at Bedford College, London University, and then at the University of Leipzig before joining the medical register in Dublin in 1881. He married his physician Otto Walther in 1882. They practiced joint medical practice in Frankfurt am Main until 1886. They has two children.
After she contracted tuberculosis, the couple opened a sanatorium, the Nordrach Clinic, in the Black Forest. They ran a joint clinic until 1893, and they divorced in 1895. He moved back to Munich and married Carl Lehmann in 1896. Although he obtained his medical diploma in Germany in 1880, he was not recognized as a doctor or allowed to use titles up to year 1904.
