Plot
Cheerleading coach Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch) convinces Principal Figgins (Iqbal Theba) not to include happy club photos in school yearbooks, as in previous years, the happy club photos have been severely damaged in the yearbook library by fellow students. Club director Will Schuester (Matthew Morrison) personally purchased a small portion of the ad space in the book so a photo featuring at least two members could be included. Afraid of unpopularity, the club nominated Rachel (Lea Michele) to represent them in the photo. Rachel convinces Finn (Cory Monteith) to appear next to him, but after being teased by his comrades, he resigns. When it happened that the school photographer (John Ross Bowie) immediately directed the ad to his brother-in-law, the owner of the local mattress store, Rachel convinced him to throw the jubilant club in it, believing that the status of local celebrities would prevent other students mocking them.
Will is disappointed to learn that his close friend, counselor counsel Emma Pillsbury (Jayma Mays), has arranged to marry his fiancée, football coach Ken Tanaka (Patrick Gallagher), on the same day the club is happy to compete elsewhere. Will goes on to discover that his wife Terri (Jessalyn Gilsig) has been lying to her for months about her supposed pregnancy. She actually had a hysterical pregnancy and hid the truth from her for several months by wearing a pregnancy book under her clothes, while planning to secretly adopt Quinn's baby (Dianna Agron). Will walked over to her and spent the night at school, sleeping on one of the mattresses given to the club happily in payment for their advertisement.
Sue tells Will clubs that accept payments for commercials revoke their amateur status, and thus their eligibility to compete in parts. Quinn, who has been trying to convince Sue to let her appear in a cheerleading photo despite being expelled from the team due to her pregnancy, reminds Sue that as their coach she often gives cheerleader fans who will also make them unqualified for the competition.. He demanded that Sue sacrifice one of the six cheerleaders in the yearbook to the happy club. Sue agrees, and receives Quinn back to the cheerleading team, but Quinn tells her that she no longer wants to become a cheerleader. Will announce that he will not accompany the club to the part, because he is the one who accepted the payment, and thus they will only be allowed to compete without his involvement. The glee club later had their group photo taken for the yearbook, but the copies in the library were then marred by hockey player Dave Karofsky (Max Adler) and Azimio (James Earl) footballer.
