Mount Hope Cemetery is a municipal cemetery located at 3751 Market Street, San Diego, California, and gives its name to the Mount Hope neighborhood. The graveyard is adjacent to Greenwood Memorial Park.

History
Founded in 1869, in the suburb of New Town, Mount Hope now covers approximately 115 acres (0.47 km 2 ). The cemetery design is an example of a Rural cemetery, with architecture, art, and landscape. The city of San Diego manages and maintains the entire cemetery, providing timeless care to all the burial sites. The hills and land that stretches in Mount Hope Cemetery contains important historical monuments for some of San Diego's most famous residents, founders, pioneers, and others.
